About Me...

I can help you and your child grow from concern to confidence.

After working in both private and public school classrooms, I have developed an educational therapy program that I am proud to share with you.

I work with elementary-age children struggling with reading, comprehension, writing, spelling and math.  Students with dyslexia, ADHD, issues in executive functioning, memory and visual and auditory processing, will find my knowledge, kindness, compassion and sense of humor a sure path to both academic progress and self-confidence.

Education:

  • University of California, Berkeley - Undergraduate Degree, Sociology

  • Boston University - Masters Degree, Elementary Education

  • Loyola Marymount University Masters Degree, Education and Counseling and Guidance

  • UCLA's certificated program, Educational Therapy

Current Work:

  • I have developed a unique approach to working with students.  I encourage success and a positive outlook toward school and learning, while creating an energetic, educational atmosphere.

  • I am a professional member of the Association of Educational Therapists (AET), an international organization dedicated to "helping individuals become successful learners" (aetonline.org).

  • Staying current in the field of Educational Therapy is crucial to me. I attend AET's annual conference and monthly webinars, the International Dyslexia Association Los Angeles' (IDALA) annual conference, the West LA/Santa Monica monthly study group and various other conferences and presentations.
